The ticket scalpers continue operating despite the ticket selling is already done via online reservation. But seemingly they still have an open window to take benefit from homecomer.

There were 14 ticket scalper nabbed and secured by police

Approaching Ied-ul Fitr, Central Jakarta Resort Police cooperates with PT Kereta Api Indonesia continues to crack down on ticket scalper intensively. Around 11 scalpers who operating in Senen Station successfully secured. The officer seized 149 executive and business-class tickets.

“There were 14 scalpers nabbed and secured by police,” said Head of Public Relation for PT KAI Daops I, Bambang S Prayitno, Thursday (7/9).

Prayitno had identified two modus operandi of ticket scalper. They reserved ticket on D-90 prior to Ied-ul fitr using family or neighbor ID-Card.

“They buy multiple tickets by borrowing identity cards from relatives and friends then sell the tickets back when the tickets are sold out,” he explained.

While for the second modus is by utilizing technologically-illiterate passenger.

He admitted that his side keeps continuing to evaluate ticket sales and always warned resident brave to report any violation.
